Searching for Capomo is a documentary that interviews twelve elders and youth about the wild tree, seed, leaves, and bark of Brosimum alicastrum — also known as "The Breadnut" or "Capomo" — and its traditional use for nutrition and medicine.

Used as traditional food and medicine, the tree is threatened due to unbridled development, deforestation, and climate change. The film explores the diverse medicinal and nutritional uses of Capomo and the challenges facing this imperiled species, made with the Indigenous Community of Chacala in west Mexico.

Capomo is an extraordinary tree nutritionally and medicinally. It provides the richest plant sources of amino acids and has sustained Indigenous peoples of Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean for millennia.
